David’s Story

David’s story demonstrates his determination to achieve his goals. Having made the decision to study abroad, David began working towards his career in IT. At every stage, he was prepared to put in the effort needed, inspiring his line manager to help him get ahead. Together, they demonstrate our commitment for enabling people to reach their potential and getting them to the places they deserve to be.

David's Story

Gatwick Airport, 1985. David heads for Leeds College to study Computer Science. He is just 18. After completing the course, David took a job at one of our depots, with the ambition of moving into the IT department. When David’s Line Manager learnt about his qualifications, he put David forward for a Trainee position. That was more than 30 years ago.
